Our Philosophy
Central to our philosophy in matching a client with the very best
solution for them is the idea that everything is centred on the client.
At every stage of the process in creating the eventual product, DIS
involves the user wherever possible. This allows the very tightest
solutions to be created, exactly how the user wants them to be made.
Be it from a template-based single page design that we create in-house,
or a bespoke multi-page design using a CMS backend that we create,
every step of the process is approved and checked by the client wherever
possible. |

Requirements
This is a consultative process in which discussion takes place between
DIS and the Client. Here, the general aim of the website is determined
with influence from the client about any specific limiting factors
and expected end product. Doing this allows DIS to ascertain the feasibility
of a project and it allows the scope of the project to be determined.
Any current mechanisms, if to be used on the website, are looked at,
reviewed, and discussed with the client. This is done to ensure that
the final solution is as tight and as concise as possible, and matches
the ethos of the company. If the website itself can be used to improve
day to day operations in the business of the client, then this too
is discussed with the client. |

Analysis
DIS staff analyse the Clients needs and propose a solution. At this
stage qualitative and quantitative requirements are formally agreed,
and a proposed plan of action is drawn up. This plan of action involves
defining stages of development with discussion of timescales and landmarks,
proposing a new system in its conceptual stage and designing a strategy
in terms of how client feedback is given in terms of frequency and
content. Also, procedural inconsistencies already in the business
are ironed out to allow a client to refine existing procedures and
for DIS to suggest ways in which to improve business mechanisms through
its extensive knowledge within the clients target market. |

Planning & Conceptualisation
Once the general overview is generated after analysis, sample pages
are drawn up and reviewed with the customer to verify what the actual
site design will be like. A definite design solution is planned in
storyboard format with ideas being shared through both our design
service and the client. This is non-technical, aesthetic design, where
a walkthrough of the site is produced on paper. Styling
cues and general design functionality is what is discussed here, as
well as any specific technical requirement that the client has. This
allows the client to conceptualise what the eventual site will look
like and what features to expect from it. |

Design
Design work is started with collaboration between DIS and the Client.
This is a continual feedback process with several design ideas being
discussed with a view to a potential solution. Conceptually, this
stage allows a client to see where the product is headed and give
them control over the eventual product through continuous feedback.
This client-centric approach ensures that the user sees their product
building and is able to exert control over its separate elements.
Ultimately, this aids immensely in client satisfaction, as each element
of the product is individually reviewed, re-assessed, reworked in
a cyclic process until total satisfaction over its details is ascertained.

Implementation
Implementation of the end product is done in accordance with the action
plan developed during the analysis stage. This too can be done in
stages depending on client needs. The completion of this task occurs
when the product is up and running and is able to be used by the customer.
· Direct Changeover where the website comes
into force in the shortest timeframe possible. This allows for
full
..usage of its facilities right away.
· Staged implementation where the end product
is introduced section by section, this is more prevalent for
..complex designs where there are
systems in place already that cannot break down.
· Pilot changeover where the changeover
is done through a single branch or chain that has access to ancillary
..features is piloted in a prominent
branch and rolled out everywhere as the pilot stores operation
is finalised.
..This is suited to a larger organisation
that has the infrastructure to do it and would need it.
The right implementation plan will be discussed with DIS and be implemented
the way that is best suited to your business. We are able to perform
full implementation and provide hosting to keep a clients website
on-line when they need it most. |

Acceptance
On acceptance of the results by the client, the project is deemed
to have reached completion. Completion of the project is referenced
by matching the requirements and action plan documents created in
preliminary meetings with the final created system. This stage is
where the client signs off on the project and the development team
close contact with the client bar initial support procedures and client
care. |

Continued Client Care and Support
Contact is maintained with the Client to ensure their satisfaction
and future needs are catered for. This includes free technical support
with our dedicated IT support staff. Hosting can be provided for the
websites, and because it is done in-house, hosting is catered for
by DIS and will result in one support point for all servicing. |
